On Sept. 2nd, I had a Skype interview with Startup Grind (Startup Grind is the largest independent startup community, and they educate, inspire and connect 40,000 founders in over 200 cities) and it went great.
I explained to the interviewer that I am a two-time cancer survivor and inspirational speaker. I also expressed that I connect my realities and experiences to the digital world of the inFAMOUS video game franchise and superhero Cole MacGrath.
She told me there were thousands of applicants who applied and they only select a few hundred. She also told me that she was going to put in a good word for me to the committee, and I should receive an e-mail if my application got accepted.
She ended our conversation by saying what I have to offer is powerful, inspiring and different.
On Sept. 2nd at 8:35 pm, I got an e-mail stating that my company “CalmandStrong” got accepted!!!
The e-mail read: The selection was extremely competitive so we took a little more time to decide. Having said that…
Congratulations!!!
